Valentine’s Couriers: Must-See Love Movies

Valentine's Deliveries DallasIt’s a day all about love – what else do you expect me to write about?! For all of you Valentine’s Day haters out there, maybe you just shouldn’t read today’s blog post – it’s going to be sappy. But to be honest, our couriers Dallas love this special day. Why? Because, we get to make all of the special Valentine’s Day deliveries across Dallas! From roses and lilies to chocolates and cakes, we get to brighten up people’s day with special treats. So, it’s not wonder February 14th pumps us up.

And as we act as Dallas best Valentine’s Day couriers, we are remembering the reason for the day – love. Sure it’s a day of overspending and overeating, but the message behind it is wonderful: express your love to those you care about. And why do we like the idea so much? Well, first, we all want love and we all want to love. And second, Hollywood.

Movies have been in the business of making romance magical for as long as they have existed. This Valentine’s Day, cozy up to your sweetie, and watch one of these romantic flicks

  • Titanic (Disc 1). Who wants to watch the boat sink? Not me! Which is precisely why I watch the first disc ONLY. Jack and Rose are together forever in my mind. Forget that part at the end where he dies. I love the costumes, the romance, the grace.
  • You’ve Got Mail. Oh,  You’ve Got Mail! Such a great one. And what a perfect one for our couriers Dallas – we’ve always got mail to deliver for our clients. Not sure the mail ever makes us fall in love, but at least we can relate in some ways. “Daisies are the friendliest flower…”
  • Ever After. This is a must-see classic. Drew Barrymore is wistfully romantic, even in her peasant garb. This fairytale is one for the ages.
  • Top Gun. Tom Cruise (pre-Scientology weirdness) is all kinds of gorgeous in this. Planes, romance, life, death, friendship, jealousy – now that’s a winning recipe.
  • The Notebook. Thank you, The Notebook, for making me actually want to get dementia in my later years so my husband can read our story to me only for us to have ten minutes of pure love. Oh, and then die holding hands.
  • Pretty Woman. Here’s to prostitutes who don’t kiss on the lips… until they meet Richard Gere! This movie made me want to live in a penthouse suite and shop on Rodeo Drive. OK, I’ll admit it – it still does.
  • Moulin Rouge. Sure the ending is sad, but this is a truly romantic tale. Boy meets girl. Girl has another admirer with a lot of money. Girl falls for the poor guy. Girl dies in poor guy’s arms. Poor guy writes their story.

Here’s to Valentine’s Day – our team at Dallas Courier chooses to embrace the day. After all, you know exactly who to call when you need a fast Dallas Valentine’s courier. We will make it happen!
