Scheduled Deliveries Dallas Team: Grammy Goodness

The Grammy’s. A night to celebrate music, fashion, talent and lack thereof. The red carpet glistened with the classy, timeless, gorgeous looks of Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Adele and Jennifer Hudson. It frightened us a bit with the overdone, crazed, attention-craving looks of Fergie, Gaga, and Nicki Minaj.
In honor of our scheduled deliveries Dallas team at Dallas Courier, we decided to recap the highs and lows of the 2012 Grammy Awards. Why our route deliveries Dallas team? Well, they were the ones talking about it this morning. So, in honor of them, here is Dallas Courier’s opinion (take it or leave it):
HIGHS:
- ADELE. Sometimes the Grammy’s can seem more like a time for musicians to act like fools than artists. This year, the awards show proved to honor what it should: talent. Adele swept the show – winning 6 of 6. Her performance was moving and needed no glitz. All it needed was her amazing voice. She wowed.
- JENNIFER HUDSON. Doing a Whitney Houston cover in her honor is no easy task. But Jennifer Hudson was flawless. Knowing that she prepared in less than 24 hours is beyond impressive. What a performance.
- BEACH BOYS. I wasn’t born in their heyday, but I can understand why people loved the Beach Boys. Only thing I wasn’t on board with? Adam Levine awkwardly standing there during the performance.
- CHRIS BROWN. The man can dance. Pretty sure he was lip synching, but nonetheless, he can dance.
- BRUNO MARS. Bruno’s voice is so crystal clear and his dance moves so precise, it’s hard not to love him. He has spunk, true talent and great hair. Perfect combination if you ask me.
LOWS:
- NICKI MINAJ. The lowest of the lows: Nicki Minaj. I knew things were going down once she stepped out with a Pope look-a-like. The exorcism and lines to “O Come All Ye Faithful” was neither interesting nor well-down. I vote tasteless and awkward.
- GAGA. Gage didn’t do much of anything at the award show, but I would like to make this statement here and now: her reign is done. People are over the spectacle. They want music – they want Adele.
- ROBYN. She is topping my worst-dressed list. Not sure what that outfit was about. Bad, bad, bad.
In any case, if we keep seeing the likes of Adele, Bruno Mars and Jennifer Hudson, we know at least one of the courier companies in Dallas who will be tuning in next year – us!
