So…what did you get for Christmas? Maybe it was a shiny new iPad. Or perhaps it was a scarf (or four…). You know what I got for Christmas? A cold. And since Christmas is about giving, I gave that cold to each one of my children, my sister, and my mother. I’m an equal opportunity supplier. Since we’ve all been miserable, hunkered down with our tissues, blankets, and saline spray, I decided I would enlist the help of our ever-useful Dallas Healthcare Delivery team. Not only did they deliver my prescriptions, but they also were able to clear up a few misconceptions I had about the dos and don’ts of getting over a cold. Here’s what they had to say:
Do you ever have those days when you just feel like giving up? Cashing in your chips? Throwing in the towel? Sure, we all do. Even our Healthcare Delivery Dallas team, who operates all day and all night, taking calls, making appointments, and completing deliveries has days when they just don’t feel up to the task. Isn’t it comforting to know that you aren’t alone? Some of the greatest leaders and heroes of our time have all felt this way. To help us get through, they’ve provided us with encouragement and wisdom for those rough days. Here are a few of Healthcare Delivery Dallas’s favorite quotes that give us a little boost just when we need it:
This week marks the twentieth anniversary of the Battle at Mogadishu. Most of you may not be aware of this famous standoff in military history. That is because you know it by a different moniker- Black Hawn Down. Our Dallas Lab Couriers have been fascinated by this story for the last two decades, and we feel on the anniversary of this occasion, it is appropriate to share the story with you.
Well, this past Saturday, more than 200 folks gathered at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium to try and set a world record for the biggest yoga class ever held. And since this is our Dallas Medical deliveries team talking we wanted to give you guys some information on something that is not only becoming a huge trend right now, but may just be one worth following.
You know when you go to the doctor and sign lots of forms? You know when you go to the doctor and sign forms that you don’t really read? That’s likely HIPAA. I’m not sure why people don’t read the forms (Ok, myself included), but we don’t. They are either too long or too jargon-y.
There is always a lot of hype about the Miss Universe pageant. I can’t imagine what it would be like to be crowned the queen of this universe. You’re likely gorgeous, talented and smart. Or at least let’s hope so.
As Dallas food couriers, we always have an interest in the tastiest treats offered annually at the State Fair of Texas. We love food, and we love inventive food. That’s what the State Fair brings each and every year – creative, fun food. Last year, it was the Frito Pie. Oh. My. Gosh. A flavor explosion in my mouth. So yummy. So delectable.
I know the weather doesn’t remind us of this very often, but fall is literally around the corner! Whenever the seasons change, I think it’s a good time to stop and think about my personal health. The seasons can just be a reminder to look at how healthy you were in the past season. For example, with fall coming, I’ll be taking a look back at summer. And can I be honest, it wasn’t my most healthy summer. I got bogged down in my to-do list and found myself forgetting to practice self care. That’s never a good thing.
Hello, school year. When I think of the school year, the following things pop into my mind (and they are fond memories, might I add): Elmer’s Glue, sparkly pencils, new backpack, new shoes, hand-me-down uniform fittings, new friends, old friends, P.E. horrors, new teacher excitement, folders, carpooling buddies… can you tell I loved the first day of school? Call me a dork, but I always loved going to school.
