Dallas Medical Delivery: National Breast Cnacer Awareness Month

I don’t know about you, but October has the Dallas Medical Delivery employees and me seeing…pink. That’s right, not red, but pink.

That’s because October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It’s an entire thirty-one days dedicated to boosting knowledge and consciousness about one of the deadliest diseases in America. Aside from skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common form of cancer among American women. It’s so common that one in eight women will develop breast cancer in their lifetime. This year alone, over 232,000 cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed in a stage that has already reached an invasive state. Sixty-two thousand cases will be diagnosed in very early and non-invasive stages. In 2014, 40,000 women will die from breast cancer.
