‘Tis the season for weddings, babies, block parties, and barbecues. You know what that means? ‘Tis the season for bringing something tasty to the party. For most people, the Southern hospitality tradition of bringing a food item to a party is overwhelming. That’s why I figured I would help you take the stress out of the tradition and turn it into something fun!

Dallas Courier Spinach Dip. This is one of Dallas couriers’ absolute favorites. It is my go-to dip for any party I attend. Simple, simple, simple!
- 1 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 (10 oz) frozen chopped spinach, thawed & squeezed dry
- 1 (10 oz) frozen chopped onions, thawed & squeezed dry
- 3 (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 (5 oz) pkg shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- Tortilla Chips, or Pita Chips, or Bagel chips
Spicy Corn Dip. Another one of our Dallas couriers faves! And this one is simple, you could laugh! And guess what, people will absolutely LOVE it! You’ll be the hit of the partay.
- 2 (10 oz) cans of corn (drained)
- 1 jar of jalapenos
- 1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese
Combine corn and cream cheese in a bowl. Mix thoroughly. Add diced jalapenos to taste. Our Dallas couriers like this dip SPICY!
Baked Brie Dip. Talk about a taste bud fiesta. This dip is another one of our Dallas couriers favorites. OK, let me cut to the chase, every one of these dips is obviously our Dallas couriers’ top picks!
- 1 (8 ounce) wheel Brie cheese
- 3 tablespoons apricot preserves
- 1/2 (17.5 ounce) package frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg white
Slice one wheel of Brie cheese in half so you have 2 circles of cheese. Spread apricot or peach preserves on (the cut side) half of one circle of brie. Make sandwich out of the two halves of Brie, so that the preserves are in the center of both halves. Wrap the entire wheel of Brie with one sheet of puffed pastry and flip the entire concoction onto the prepared cooking sheet so the seam is on bottom. Brush the puffed pastry with the egg white. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
So the next time you’re asked to bring an appetizer to a party, don’t sweat it. Trust me, with these simple recipes (courtesy of your Dallas couriers and Texas couriers), people will be double dipping all night!
