In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, our Hot Shot Delivery Dallas team is highlighting some real hot shots of American history. This week’s Hispanic-American doesn’t come from the history books of today, but you can count on seeing him in the history books of the future.
I am about to embark on a journey where no man as gone before. Women…maybe…but only those strong enough, or crazy enough, or a little of both. You see, in about three weeks, I am going to attempt to fly halfway across the world with my two small children by myself. Believe me. This is not my first choice. Or my second, or even a close 40th. In fact, this is my last choice in terms of travel. It’s hard enough taking my two kids to the grocery store, much less to Europe. I tried to pay someone else to do this, but the Dallas Hot Shot Couriers don’t count kids as “time sensitive goods” (I asked.), so the only option I had was to do it myself.
Some of the Dallas Hot Shot Couriers have been telling me how excited they are for their college students to come home for the summer. While I’m sure all of the students were missed while they were away, I’m also sure it will only take a few weeks before the honeymoon period wears off, and you realize having your college kid home for the summer may be harder than you think. Since living “on their own”, your child may have picked up some less than desirable habits. My friends the Dallas Hot Shot Couriers have some common complaints to include laundry, sanitization, and sleeping habits. Not to rag on the young people of America, but this blog is dedicated to the top five nasty habits college students have that might take you all summer to break, but it will be worth it.
Last week, the world lost an entertainment icon and an old favorite of our Dallas Hot Shot Couriers. Mickey Rooney passed away at the age of 93. His career was expansive; one of the longest in entertainment history. With 88 years in the cinema, he appeared in over 200 films, various Broadway shows and musicals, and lent his vocal talents to movies, TV shows, and commercials. You may remember him best as Andy Hardy in the film series with the same name, but that was only the tip of the iceberg of Rooney’s career.
In case you have been living under a rock (or, if you’re like me, under a pile of laundry/dirty diapers/spit up rags), Washington is full of drama these days. In fact, if our political personnel can’t come up with an agreement on a budget by October 1, we’re headed for a government shutdown! Now, we’ve heard this before. It actually happened during Clinton’s presidency. And it was over similar issues. For those of us who haven’t exactly been up to date on our national news stories, Dallas Hot Shot Couriers are here to break it down for you.
It started in 2004 with a group of college students looking to connect with their classmates. It turned into a worldwide phenomenon. We’re talking about Facebook. This tiny little website that was once enjoyed by Harvard students is now open to any and all (over the age of 13). It has spawned other social networking sites such as Twitter, Instagram, and Linked In. It seems like everyone is on social media these days, including individuals of our Hot Shot Delivery Service Dallas division. These websites are part of our everyday social and business structures and provide us with vital ways to stay in touch with friends, family, coworkers, and clients. However, not everyone understands what is acceptable practice when it comes to social media, especially in the business setting.
