If you're one of our loyal Dallas Courier blog readers, then you know our team boasts a wide variety of interests. That's precisely what makes our blog a fun read - we blog about everything from historical events like the Bush Center opening to crawfish boils to the Texas Rangers. Are our blogs random, you ask? Nope. Let me tell you why. Our blog post ideas come courtesy of our different delivery specialty teams. You see, when a courier delivers the same commodity over and over again, he or she naturally becomes passionate about the industry they serve.
It's springtime, and springtime at my house is synonymous with one thing: crawfish! The moment the weather warms up, we know it's time for a crawfish boil. Crawfish boils are an important part of living in the south, so if you are in Dallas and haven't been to one, make it a priority this year. Texans should know how to crawfish boil.
When I arrived to the office this morning, I was greeted by our receptionist wearing pink, a pink and red table cloth on our meeting table, chocolate covered strawberries ready for the taking, those Valentine's heart candies, and a personalized, mini red velvet cake sitting on my desk. Now, if that's not a warm and welcomed greeting on Valentine's Day, I don't know what is.
Fried pickles, seven layer dip, cold beer, coca cola, french fries, chicken wings, sliders, hotdogs, nachos, pulled pork sandwiches, chips and queso, barbecue, tater tots, stuffed jalapenos - what do all those tasty food items remind you of? Cardiax arrest? Hello, cynical! No, no. It isn't a heart attack of which I speak. It's the super bow!! (Oh, and maybe a heart attack if you eat leftovers all week...).
We just finished up with Thanksgiving - a day filled with turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans and pumpkin pie. And we are coming up on Christmas which is filled with cookie exchanges, ham, potato casserole, cider, candy canes and gingerbread men. As you can see, our celebrations revolve around food. We eat, eat, eat and the sleep, sleep, sleep. Oh, and I forgot to mention that in between eating and more eating, we open gifts.
We often blog about food items in honor of our food courier services Dallas. We often blog about being healthy in honor of our medical delivery services Dallas. Today, we are joining the best of both worlds and writing a post about both good food and being healthy. Wondering how we are going to accomplish this? Easy... fabulous tasting food is often some of the simplest foods around. Too often though, we bypass them in search of something to satisfy our overindulgence in salt, sugar and more sugar.
Does the world feel a little different today? Well, it should. Over the weekend, something very important happened... autumn arrived!
That's right. Fall is officially here. While it may not feel much like fall yet, what with our 93 degree high today, it is here nonetheless. And as the days and weeks roll on, you can bet that the feeling of fall is going to only continue increasing. A few weeks back, the weather outside was seriously screaming fall. So we couldn't help blogging about what to do in the beautiful fall temperatures. If you missed our tips, be sure to read them here.
Why do you fry me up (Fry me up)
Buttercup baby just to
let me down (Let me down)
And mess me around
And then worst of all (Worst of all)
You never call baby
When you say you will (Say you will)
But I love you still
I need you (I need you)
More than anyone darlin'
You know that I have from the start
Can it be? Is it true? Say it is so! It looks like fall might be upon us, North Texas. Now, I know people up north may laugh when I say this, but the good news is, I'm not writing it for them. I'm writing it for my fellow Texans. Those who have pride in this great state. Those who respect the heat, even love it. But when summer ends, we aren't too sad to say goodbye. We are ready for a break from 100 plus degree days. We welcome the 'cool.'
