For thousands of years humans have searched for the fountain of youth. This literal and metaphorical spring is said to restore the youth of anyone who drinks or bathes in its waters. Ponce de Leon went in search of this fountain in the 1500s, and the stories of Alexander the Great talk about a journey to find the fountain. It’s in our art, our books, and our films. While most of us understand this legend is just a myth, wouldn’t it be nice if we could do something to restore just a little bit of our youth? I look at my pictures from high school and think, “I totally still look like that!” Then when I see an actual high schooler, I realize, “no I don’t”. The reality is, even if I don’t feel older, I am getting older. And, sorry to break the news, but so are you.
